Pete Wright is an international award-winning Master Photographer and writer based out of Bradenton, Fl. As a fourth generation artist and second generation photographer Pete got his start as a professional and college sports photographer and eventually expanded into weddings and portrait photography. Outside of his client work Pete has an extensive body of fine art photography and uses his free time to create new works which he considers to be his chicken soup for the soul. Through his success in print competition Pete has become passionate about the physical print and an advocate for selling printed images and learning from the process of printing ones own work. In early 2016 Pete began working with Canon in their Large Format print division where he helps to educate photographers on the inkjet printing process and how to best use their complete workflow starting with the capture to have a more successful finished image.
In May 2015, Pete's First Book "Cinematic Portraits, How to Create Classic Hollywood Photography" was published by Amherst Media and was followed in the Summer of 2016 by his Wedding Photography book "Wedding Photography Kickstart" co-authored with his wife, Liliana. His work is also featured prominently in the Amherst title "500 Poses for Photographing Full-Length Portraits: A Visual Sourcebook for Digital Portrait Photographers" Additionally Pete has been a regular contributor to Professional Photographer Magazine, Action News Magazine, Richmond Weddings Magazine and others.
Pete has been lecturing around the world since 2005 in both platform and hands-on environments. He has spoken multiple times at both Imaging USA and WPPI and lectured around the world at various workshops, state and regional conventions. He has also worked extensively as an International Print competition judge and chair for well over a decade. Pete is a true believer in the term “Pay it forward” and feels it is his responsibility to be an open book, sharing his knowledge.
